1. Heavy swell with wave heights between 4.0 and 4.5m is expected

between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas and between Cape St Francis and

Port Alfred from mid-period.

2. Moderate visibility in showers and rain is expected between Table Bay

and Cape Agulhas at first, between Cape Agulhas and East London for

the first half of the period and between East London and Maputo in the

second half of the period.

3. A gale force westerly to south-westerly wind of 35 knots is expected

between Oyster Bay and East London until this evening.

CUNENE RIVER TO WALVIS BAY:

WIND : SW 05 to 15 at first, otherwise S to SE 10 to 15 reaching 20

south of Mowe Bay until mid-period.

VIS : Good.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 2.5m, S to SW swell.

 

WALVIS BAY TO ORANGE RIVER:

WIND : S to SE 15 to 20 reaching 25 south of Lderitz. It will

moderate to 05 to 10 north of Lderitz from mid-period.

VIS : Good.

SEA STATE: 2.5 to 3.0m, S to SW swell.

 

ORANGE RIVER TO CAPE AGULHAS:

WIND : NW 10 to 20 south of Table Bay at first, otherwise S to SE 10

to 15 reaching 20 to 25 north of Hondeklip Bay. It will become

N to NE 05 to 10 south of Cape Point by the end of the period.

VIS : Good, but moderate in showers south of Table Bay at first.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, reaching 4.0 to 4.5m south of Table Bay from mid-

period, SW swell.

 

CAPE AGULHAS TO EAST LONDON:

WIND : W to SW 15 to 25, reaching 30 to 35 east of Oyster Bay until

tonight, moderating overnight to 05 to 15. It will become E to

NE 05 to 10 west of George from early morning.

VIS : Moderate in showers and rain for the first half of the period,

otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5m between Cape St Francis and Port

Alfred from mid-period, SW swell.

 

EAST LONDON to MAPUTO:

WIND : N to NE 10 to 20, becoming SW 10 to 20 south of Margate by

tonight, spreading northwards to Durban in the morning and to

Maputo by the end of the period.

VIS : Good, becoming moderate in light showers and rain in the

second half of the period.

SEA STATE: 2.0 to 3.0m, S swell.

 

MOZAMBIQUE CHANNEL:

WIND : S to SE 15 to 20 but S to SW 20 to 25 in the east.

VIS : Moderate in light showers and rain in the west for

the first half of the period, otherwise good.

SEA STATE: 3.0 to 3.5m in the central and southern parts, SW swell.
